Meeting with the Bureau of Immigration Student Desk on Student Visas

On Tuesday, 15 July 2025, Mr. Adeshina Edward Oloje, Chargé d’Affaires, a.i., alongside other Embassy officials, met with Mr. Anthony Cabrera, Acting Chief Officer of the Student Desk of the Bureau of Immigration.

Discussions focused on the renewal and issuance of visas for Nigerian students in the Philippines, including concerns about deportation upon arrival, orders to leave due to missed renewal schedules, and the academic continuity of affected students.

The meeting forms part of the Embassy’s efforts to strengthen collaboration on student welfare.
