H.E. Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas Presents Letters of Credence to President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

His Excellency Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to the Republic of the Philippines, presented his Letters of Credence to President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on 1 September 2026. The ceremony formally marked the commencement of his diplomatic assignment. On 30 July 2026, the Ambassador had presented copies of his Letters of Credence to H.E. Ariel R. Peñaranda, Assistant Secretary and Chief of Protocol at the Department of Foreign Affairs, accompanied by Embassy officials including Ms Regina Aondona and Mr Obinna Onyima. The meeting reaffirmed the commitment of both countries to strengthen cooperation in energy, trade, and investment.
